General Motors has begun their festive season launches with the introduction of its facelifted Chevrolet Spark on 25th October, 2012 in the Indian auto market. The car, however, doesn’t have that much changes apart from few cosmetics one and can be termed as a stunt to lure car enthusiasts on the festive season in the name of facelift.
General Motors has done some minor tweaks and added some exciting features which can be summarized as below:-
- New front bumpers with sporty dual tone finish
- Refurbished rear bumpers with sporty dual tone finish
- Split grill up front & aggressive lines
- Double DIN Audio system with USB and AUX-IN
- Dual tone interiors & Optimax cabin
- New wing inspired instrument cluster
New Chevrolet Spark 2012 is powered by the same 1.0 liter 8V SOHC Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing impressive power of 63 bhp and peak torque of 90.3 Nm at 4200 rpm. Mated to 5-speed manual transmission, new Chevy Spark has Next-Gen SMARTECH engine technology previously seen in its predecessor. Spark 2012 is available in petrol and LPG versions.
Offered in five variants, new Chevrolet Spark 2012 price ranges from Rs 3.16 lakh – Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).
