Chevy Beat- Got a crush on this gorgeous lady
Review: Hey buddies, its Amit here, would like to share a short tour for Chevrolet Beat. We started the hunt for small car, saw many decent car models like the Hyundai i10, Maruti Wagon R, MarutiEstilo… but there was no diesel available in the tight budget of under Rs 5 lakh. Than one of my dad’s friend suggest Chevrolet Beat and we were in for the same. It’s been a year now and its has been driven for about 18,000 kilometers. Every time I look at it, before driving, it provides me a sigh of relief that it was a wise decision to go for this gorgeous lady. It drives well in city, the suspension is great and absorbs bumps well, is a traffic cutter due to its compact design and now the important part is its stunning mileage of around 16-17 in city and 21-22 on highways. It’s all loaded with fantastic features as it’s a middle version LS, also the attractive looks grab attention of every onlooker. Usually me and my wife travel together for work and while returning we take home all the household items, so there is sufficient space at boot for the same.
Favorite Features: adorable styling, fuel-efficient, driver-friendly
Suggested Improvements: more legroom at rear.
By Amit Khurana, 11-Mar-2013 03:50:59 ISTChevrolet Beat – I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH
Review: Let the world say anything, but I am more than satisfied with my first car Chevrolet Beat. I have heard my colleagues saying many negatives about its mileage, but when I drive it’s just perfect. And I always suggest them that mileage depends upon the driving style, if you drive rash, on high speed with frequent braking and low tyre pressure, it will result in squeeze of mileage. With my top end Chevrolet Beat Diesel LT I get anything around 21 kmpl here in kanpur, while my friends move around 16-17 kmpl. Apart from looks and features there are many other aspects to be explored for example, better ground clearance, agile suspension and interior space. These features are missed in Marutis and the Hyundais. I drove it comfortably at 120 kmph, but that’s the max speed for Beat, after that it vibrates and dances a lot. Of course, it’s a perfect city car and not a racing beast. In every portion, the Chevrolet Beat delivers value for your hard earned money. So what are you waiting for, go get one for yourself today.
Favorite Features: smooth steering, appearance, maneuverability
Suggested Improvements: built quality, engine noise at high speeds

Review: Hi, to all viewers..Vishesh from Himachal, but reside in haryana. I right now own Chevrolet Beat top model of diesel and last month I had completed 6 months with this matchbox like car. Here let me present you the description or say the experience of it. I am a speed freak but this car never races up and feels tired after 100 kmph or 110 kmph. My height is 5’9” and in long journeys feel tired of driving but there is no seat adjust feature in it, I asked the same with the dealer he said it is not even available as an optional accessory, which is really insane believe me. The 12W bulb inside the headlamp is just not sufficient for car of this size, as i like to drive with full visibility especially at night. The built quality is annoying, 2 weeks back a slight bruise has taken off one end of the bumper and a serious scratch is now designed on the front wheel arch. I think I would have spent a lakh more and had purchased a Hyundai i20 or Ford Figo.
Favorite Features: fantastic appearance, nice central console.
Suggested Improvements: shaky rides, height adjust, service, overall build quality, maintenance.
By Vishesh, 26-Feb-2013 10:36:03 ISTChevy Beat …. Over Promise Under Deliver
Review: Due to rising fuel prices I sold my age old Maruti Zen and replaced it with Chevrolet Beat LS diesel hatchback 2 months. But friends I would like to tell you that Chevrolet is not delivering what it promises. I actually went gaga over the mileage figures of 25 kmpl and that was my biggest mistake. I live in baroda, gujrat and it has as of now travelled around 2600-2700 kms but is still giving me a mileage of 20 kmpl on the highways without AC on and in city it is pathetic at 15-16 kmpl. I mean I don’t understand why they over promise and under deliver when they are aware about the fact that it will not cross 20 kmpl. I also know that these are standard conditions where Beat gives you 25 kmpl..but at least normally it should fall under 22-24 kmpl. And on top of that is unsatisfactory service of the company, as till date they not issued the bifurcation of the bill at the last service. Another concern point is the under powered engine of the car, please I request Chevy to at least increase the drag capabilities of the car.
Favorite Features: interior quality, exterior built quality and gadgets.
Suggested Improvements: power to weight ratio, service.

Review: I am from North India and own the base model of Chevrolet Beat from last 3 months. I usually drive on the high traffic zones of NH1 and NH2. I would like appreciate General Motors for the product that they have developed for India. The hatch has got cute style inside out, huge mileage-- though it’s a petrol model, and decent build quality. I guess this is the best that money can buy, especially for the first time car buyers. I am 5.11” tall and there is sufficient space for head room, shoulder room and legroom, with this sizable space one don’t feel tired in long distance driving as my office is about 35-40 kilometres away from my home. The mileage that I extract out of this beauty is of 14-15 kmpl and at times it crosses 16 kmpl too. On weekends, it’s a full house in the cabin and 5 people of our family sit easily, while the engine drags the car very well at high speeds. The smartech petrol engine provides easy driving through city traffic and fits in almost every parking space.
Favorite Features: ground clearance, space inside, driving, value for money.
Suggested Improvements: slightly high maintenance, service network.
By Vikki Nirwan, 14-Feb-2013 05:11:59 ISTGo Happy with Chevy Beat …
Review: Hi all, this is Apurbo… residing in Delhi. In august 2012 I had brought my dream car called Chevrolet Beat diesel. Up till now speedometer happily reads 4500+ kilometers and counting. The car is mid variant diesel LS, which is actually a safe choice as one can anytime upgrade it to top end variant. Before finalizing it, we had MarutiEstilo and Hyundai Eon in mind, but after test driving and looking closely at the mouth watering feature list it had to be Chevrolet Beat. The exterior is just like a concept model and is very catchy, be it the headlamps or the rear design. Moreover there is decent space in the inside, nice room for front passengers and acceptable rear leg room and headroom. The boot is a bit small but as I mostly drive from home to office and office to home it suits me. In Gurgaon-Faridabad jam it delivers me an overall practical mileage of 16-19 kmpl, and thrice it delivered 22 kmpl on highways. Till now, as its been about 6 months I have not came across any servicing issues. Out and out, cheap and best diesel small car available in the lot.
Favorite Features: rear door handle, front, mileage
Suggested Improvements: more powerful headlight, while everything is good

Review: Hi carzy.com lovers, this is Manish Singhal from Ahemebad. Four months back, I became a part of Chevrolet Beat family and I am happy that I made a correct choice. Prior to my car purchase, I have test driven Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai Santro Xing, Chevrolet Beat and Maruti A-star. Finally, I decided to opt for Chevy Beat. I have been to Gandhinagar and Mumbai n number of times and so far the driving pleasure with this little beauty has been excellent. Not only me but also my wife drives this car and she too has complemented me for a correct choice. The car is loaded with power and has great fuel efficiency. Chevy Beat delivers mileage of 14 kmpl in city conditions and 18 kmpl on highways.
Favorite Features: Power steering, great fuel efficiency, excellent power and decent mileage are the USPs of Chevy Beat. The height of of Chevy Beat is perfect. The car can easily accommodate 4 passengers. The service and maintenance of very cheap as compared to its competing hatchbacks. The company is availing 3 years warranty which none of the competing cars makers are offering at .
Suggested Improvements: Though, the car is perfect in all terms but the rear seat shoulder space is not sufficient to accommodate three adults. The width of the car should be increase to make it more convenient in terms of comfort. The features like ABS(Anti-Lock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) are missing in the car which could make it more compatible in terms of safety.
