Chevrolet Beat Diesel (Mileage – 25.44 Kmpl)

Taking its number on 2nd position in fuel efficiency race, Chevrolet Beat is an eye-catchy and sporty hatchback from GM’s stable. With perfect blend of style, impressive interiors, competence and dynamics, Chevy Beat is available in a price bracket of  Rs. 4.68 lakh– Rs. 5.93 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and by offering a decent mileage of 25.44 kmpl,  it becomes India’s most fuel efficient diesel car. Chevrolet Beat diesel is loaded with a 1.0 litre XSDE SMARTECH diesel engine, which can churn out 58.5 PS power and 150 Nm of torque.


Tata Nano 2012 (Mileage – 25.35 Kmpl)

Though with the introduction of Alto 800, Tata Nano has slipped on number 3 position in fuel efficiency index, but still this small car is able to grasp more sale counts. The 2012 version of Tata Nano is more refined than its previous models and offers a decent mileage of 25.35 kmpl, which makes it more economical and fuel efficient vehicle. Carrying a cheaper price tag of Rs.1.41 lakh- Rs.2.00 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) Tata Nano 2012 is adorned with 624 cc, 2-cylinder, MPFI engine, fetching out a maximum power of 38 Ps at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 51 Nm at 4000 rpm.

 

 


Tata Indica e-V2 & Indigo e-CS (Mileage – 25 Kmpl)

Tata is again in the list and this time with its two marathon cars Tata Indica eV2 and Indigo eCS. Packed with 1396cc CR4 diesel engine, both the cars churn out peak power of 70bhp and 140Nm peak torque. With oodles of space, good quality material and beige color interiors, Tata Indigo eCS is tagged in a price bracket around Rs. 4.98 lakh – Rs. 6.22 lakh , while Indica e-V2 is given a price tag of Rs. 3.86 lakh – Rs. 4.88 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Mileage of the eV2 and eCS is approximately 25 kmpl.


Toyota Etios Liva (Mileage – 23.59 Kmpl) 

Well Toyota too makes its place in this list by its cute hatchback Etios Liva diesel, which is competent to offer 23.59 kmpl mileage. Etios Liva is not just a small car but it is a Q class hatch, which is born out of legendary Toyota quality and is packed with adventure and excitement. The creative Etios Liva is tagged in a price bracket of Rs. 5.72 lakh – Rs. 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) depending on the variants available.
