On 16th April, 2012, Mitsubishi Motors unleashed the revamped version of their mighty Montero in the Indian auto market. The Japanese auto maker has been enjoying decent success of its Pajero and Montero in the SUV category in the country. Mitsubishi Pajero has been phased out in other auto markets and Montero has taken its place. But due to its growing charm among Indian car enthusiasts, company has unveiled a new BSIV variant to comply the emission norms.

Mitsubishi Montero 2012 is almost similar to its predecessor model and showcases few cosmetic changes in its muscular outfit and spacious interiors. Engine, however, remains the same i.e. 3.2L diesel intercooled turbocharger power-mill. Under the massive hood of Montero lies a 3200 cc DOHC 16-valve, in-line, 4-cylinder, diesel intercooled turbocharger gives an impressive power of 202 Ps at 3800 rpm and ultimate torque of 441 Nm at 2000 rpm. The common rail direct engine is mated with 5-speed automatic with sports mode.

The powerful engine with its muscular build is made to take on the toughest terrains anywhere with ease. The Super Select 4WD (SS4-II) technology gives the machine the necessary thrust to outperform in extreme conditions. The off roader has a top speed of 174 kmph and sprints from 0-100 kmph in mere 15.3 seconds.

Exteriors:-

Glancing at the majestic Montero is an adorable encounter to happen. Displaying rugged looks with solid build having commanding stance and unmatchable road presence, Mitsubishi Montero 2012 is hard to ignore.
