Tata owned, British brand Landrover has finally brought in its much anticipated premium SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) Range Rover Evoque in the Indian auto market on November 4^th this year. Since its first unveiling in 2010 Paris Motor Show, Range Rover Evoque was not the one to be easily forgotten. The charismatic design made the car bag ‘2010 Car Design of the Year’. As far as models are concerned, Evoque will be available in 5 door and 2 door styles. With growing passion of keeping a crossover in personal collection, the demand of premium SUV’s is rapidly gaining pace in the country.

Designed to thrill, Landrover Range Rover Evoque is exceptional when it comes to performing on toughest terrains. Two door model is powered by a 2L petrol engine while the five door one carries 2.2 L diesel engine. Marvelously sculpted Evoque has got enough to become a headturner whenever the hunky beast comes in open. The monster will be bestowed with all kinds of luxurious gadgets to play with including an 8 inch high resolution Touch Screen, Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming, cruise control, etc. Safety is also given importance with good amount of active and passive protective features.

Engine, Specifications & Performance:-

Powered with a 2L in-line 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine, two door model belts out ultimate power of 240 PS and 340 Nm of peak torque. While the five door Evoque is fitted with 2.2 L 16-valve turbo diesel engine generating 190 PS of top power along with 420 Nm of peak torque.

The 2.2 L SD4 diesel engine has a top speed of 200 kmph. Whereas 2.0 L petrol engine sprints from 0-100 kmph in mere 7.6 seconds with maximum speed of 217 kmph.

Built on superior suspension system, Range Rover Evoque swallows majority of road hiccups with ease.

Exteriors:-

The thought provoking design of Evoque has gathered much needed attention from all over the globe. The hood end is exceptional and alluring with artistically crafted to excellence. The compact SUV comes with trademark grill of Range Rover and beautiful xenon headlamps are hard to take your eyes off. The trendy coupe has a large sloping roofline, terrific fog lamps and two exhaust pipes exude the throttling power that Evoque carries.

Range Rover Evoque has been endowed with plenty of active and passive protective features which include high strength safety cell, airbags and advanced restraint systems for complete safety of occupants. Also, powerful all wheel disc braking with advance traction and stability technology assist the car in surprising moments.

Mileage:-

The massive crossover delivers a decent mileage of 10-14 kmpl.

Price:-

Evoque is up for grabs at an approximate cost of Rs 45 lakhs (ex-showroom price in Mumbai, excluding taxes).

Drawbacks:-

Interior space of this mean machine is quite less compared to its rivals. The luggage space doesn’t blends with the overall build of the vehicle and is very less; need to check planning for adventures. The base price of this monster is very high and the expense might keep customers at bay. Fuel economy part is also not as such that could make the buyer feel proud.
