Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its revamped Verito in the Indian auto market on 26th July, 2012. Mahindra’s first sedan has seen a lot of ups and downs in its more than 3 years of presence. Initially launched as Mahindra Renault Logan, the break up in collaboration resulted in the re-badging of Renault logo with Mahindra’s. Re-introduced as Mahindra Verito, the three box car has been reasonably successful thanks to its spacious interiors and fuel efficient engine.
However, the facelifted Mahindra Verito has got new styling cues on the outside as well as in the inside. Newly embedded features include chrome plated front grille, New eyebrow headlamps, Refurbished front and rear bumpers, stylish new fog lamps, Dual tone dashboard, and many more. Looks of the old Verito wasn’t that gripping but the new Xylo inspired grill does feel a bit more upmarket and contemporary. Facelifted Mahindra Verito is equipped with the same engine but it has become more refined with belting out class leading fuel economy. To keep the passengers happy and at ease, it is supplied with necessary comfort and convenient features.
Revamped Mahindra Verito will be competing with the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and Ford Classic.
Engine, Specifications & Performance :-
Mahindra has kept petrol and diesel power churners same as found in its predecessor model. These comprise of Renault’s 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine which pumps out top power of 65 bhp at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 160 Nm at 3000 rpm whereas the 1.4 litre 1390 cc petrol mill belts out max power of 75 bhp at 5500 rpm and max torque of 110 Nm at 3000 rpm. A five speed manual gear box is linked to both these engines.
It is nicely tuned to excrete out more performance and fuel efficiency in comparison to its predecessor. New Verito is blessed with Macpherson-type with wishbone link for front suspension and H-section torsion beam with programmed defection-coil spring for the rear ones. The superb sedan is capable of notching a top speed of 155-160 kmph and when it comes to cover 0-100 kmph, it takes mere 17 seconds.

Enhancing its visual appeal are New Eyebrow headlamps, front & rear bumpers, Blackened pillar with stylish roof rails, Clear lens tail lamps and Sculpted new boot lid. Stylish new alloy wheel designs further contributes to its revised looks. Overall looks of Verito have gone a leap ahead compared to its predecessor.
Even the interiors of Verito have been given refreshed touch with two tone dashboard along with excellent head & knee room. The beige treatment has injected a feel of freshness in the Verito cabin. Lots of cubby holes, storage spaces and massive boot space will certainly cater more buyers compared to its predecessor. Plenty of other exciting elements like Silver AC rings, Luggage compartment carpet, Theatre dimming interior lights with courtesy delay and many more are offered in the new Verito.

Mahindra has competitively priced its facelifted Verito in the range of Rs 5.21 lakh – Rs 7.14 lakh (Ex-showroom New Delhi).
