On 3rd May, 2012, Audi launched its astonishing revamped Audi A4 model in the Indian auto market. Audi has snatched the spot from Mercedes to emerge as the second best luxury car maker in the Indian luxury market after BMW. The early and unexpected launch of the premium sedan was due to the fact that company wanted to capitalize on the present market that could have been taken away by the upcoming BMW 3 series which is new and fresh.
Nevertheless, the revamped Audi A4 has got cosmetic upgrades in the exterior as well as in the interiors. Audi A4 is offered with three engine options 1.8-litre TFSI, 2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI. The 1.8 litre TFSI petrol engine belts out 170 bhp of top power between 4500 to 6200 rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1500 to 4500 rpm. The 2.0 litre TDI engine pumps out 143 bhp of max power at 4200 rpm and 320 Nm of ultimate torque at 1750 – 2500 rpm. Both the engines supply power to the front wheels and are mated to Multitronic gearbox.

The highest capacity 3.0 litre TDI engine churns 245 bhp of top power at 4000 – 4400 rpm and 500 NM of peak torque 1500 – 3000 rpm. Linked to a 7 speed S Tronic transmission, the powerful engine feeds power to the wheels via Audi’s Quattro Permanent All Wheel Drive.

The petrol power-mill sprints from 0-100 kmph in mere 8.6 seconds while the 2.0 litre diesel A4 covers the same slot in 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph.

Exteriors:-

The new Audi A4 sedan is artistically crafted with dignity and the effort is evident from its exotic looks. The xenon headlamps of the car are one of the eye-catchy factors. The aggressive headlamps feature high and low beams daytime running LED lights strip.
