Volkswagen India has brought in a mid line Vento diesel variant based on customer requests at a starting price of INR 8.56 lakh for ex-showroom Maharashtra while INR 8.74 lakh for rest of India. The Vento Comfortline sits between base variant Trendline and top one Highline trim.
The all new Volkswagen Vento diesel Comfortline comes with body colored door handles and side mirrors along with fog lamps for the front and rear section. The other premium features prior available only in Highline trim include radio with electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, CD and MP3 player, rear centre arm-rest and height adjustable driver seat which now finds a place on the Comfortline.
Speaking on the launch occasion, Member of Board & Director Volkswagen passenger cars- Neeraj Garg said from the time Volkswagen Vento was launched in the Indian auto market, they received numerous requests for mid level version. The German auto maker is glad to announce that they are able to meet customer needs and present them with the new Vento diesel Comfortline, he added.
Equipped with the same 1.6 litre diesel engine, the sedan belts out 105 Ps of top power and delivers an excellent mileage of 22 kmpl. With the new model unleashed, the Volkswagen sales are speculated to spur further and help the German sedan compete more strongly with Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
