Very recently, the Indian auto industry has experienced sudden surge in diesel car demand. But still outshining the preferences, Volkswagen Jetta 2012 is slated for a launch this month in June. The German automobile manufacturer revealed Jetta TDI last year in September 2011 and now it is bringing in the petrol version of the vehicle to complete the entire line up of the vehicle.
With recent spy picture of the vehicle, surely the new 2012 Jetta TSI is up for the launch. The upcoming Jetta TSI in petrol will be available in two engine options – the 1.8 L TSI and 1.4 L TSI and as the same engine powers Skoda Laura petrol and the Skoda Laura RS, the competition between the two vehicles will turn out more crucial.
The 1.8 liter TSI offers a better power churn out of 160PS and greater torque of 240Nm while the other 1.4 liter motor delivers 122PS of peak power and 200Nm of top torque with fantastic fuel efficiency. Still as per unsure facts, the engine will come twinned with a six or seven-speed automatic DSG transmission in the high-end variant. For India, Volkswagen Jetta petrol will come equipped with a 1.4-litre TSI engine and will soon be unveiled in June.
And to stand above in the toughly competitive market like India, Volkswagen will price its Jetta TSI in an aggressive manner with the right price tag of somewhere around Rs. 15 lakh.
