Toyota’s New Premium Product Camry to Hit Indian Shores on 24th August

The leading auto major Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is ready to embark once again with its new premium offering to the country as it plans to unveil an all-new luxury car Camry on the 24th of August.

The Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) at TKM, Mr. Sandeep Singh expressed to reporters, “We will soon bring our new luxury car Camry on the 24th of August in New Delhi.”

Toyota Camry will be assembled at the firm’s facility plant based in Bangalore. When further inquired about the details and features of new Camry, Mr. Singh declined to comment on the same and just mentioned that the car components would be imported to the country and said, “At our Bangalore unit we have enough space to craft our new offering Camry.”

The new Camry from Toyota’s stable will come to India as a Completely Built Unit from Japan and talking about its popularity, it is one of the world’s largest selling cars for the automaker. As of now, Toyota sells hatchback Liva, sedan Etios and Corolla Altis, SUV Fortuner and MUV Innova in India. Toyota owns two manufacturing units with overall capacity of three lakh units.

Toyota Head, Mr. Singh also stated that the company is doing commendably well in the country with progressive sales number. He remarked, “We aim to sell 1,70,000 units in 2012 and desire to post a good growth from last year’s sales figure of 1,31,000 units.”
