The major Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors’s cars will now boast Harman’s Infotainment System, which is the premium manufacturer of integrated infotainment systems. The brand supplies infotainment and audio systems to many major global automakers such as Audi, BMW, Chrysler, FIAT, Ferrari, General Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Land Rover, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

And now Tata’s most expensive model Aria will come featured with Harman’s premium 360-watt JBL sound system with ten speakers and a superb subwoofer. Both the leading brands in their own field has signed up a deal and Harman Infotainment System will now supply Tata Motors its audio and infotainment system. For the very first time in the country, Indian automobiles from Tata’s stable will come equipped with international music and navigation systems.

The engineering and development teams of Harman will now customize and design special audio, navigation and multimedia solutions for Tata Motor’s line-up. Moreover, Tata Aria will be the first model to feature Harman’s premium 360-watt JBL sound system, also exhibited and previewed at Delhi Auto Expo 2012.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Harman, Mr. Dinesh Paliwal expressed, “The new agreement with Tata Motors showcases a growth of Indian auto industry in the field of branded audio and infotainment system. We are extremely proud about the new deal and to get associated with Tata Motors as their trusted supplier.”

The teams of both Tata Motors and Harman will closely work together to craft good unique infotainment products that will surprise and delight customers. Also together the companies will set a benchmark in OEM installed sound and infotainment market of the domestic Indian market, as further mentioned by Mr. Paliwal.
