The Indian unit of Skoda Auto has launched a new trimmed down version of its popular premiums sedan – Laura – in the Indian market. The new version has been named as Skoda Laura TSi Classic that has been rolled-out with a price tag of Rs 11.99 lakh (Delhi ex-showroom).
The features that have been trimmed-out from this new Laura Classic include front fog lamps, lumbar support adjustment for driver and front passenger seats, rear parking sensors, a front center arm-rest, automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel, rear-A/C vents, gear knob and brake lever, and storage compartment under the front passenger seat.
The new trimmed-down Laura has been rolled-out in a bid to lure the corporate buyers who are looking for a premium sedan for as a business car. Moreover, a reduction in price has made this model more competitive in the segment that is filled with a range of highly competitive cars including Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis and Chevrolet Cruze.
Moreover, the new Laura Classic will have steel wheels instead of Alloy wheels available in the previous models. Also, the Central infotainment system has been replaced with a single-DIN CD player.
The existing variants of Skoda Laura include Laura Ambiente and Laura Elegance, available at Rs. 13,43,690 and Rs. 13,43,690 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
