Renault to Soon Launch Sedan Scala in India

If sources are to be believed, the French automobile major Renault will soon introduce its new executive sedan in the country by next month of September.

At the time of revealing its future plans for Indian auto market, Renault disclosed that by the end of year 2012, it will unveil five models in the country. So with new 2012 Scala sedan the count of five models for India will be complete apart from all its four launched cars such as hatchback Pulse, SUV Koleos, sedan Fluence and recently uncovered compact SUV Duster.

As of now the exact launch date of the vehicle is not mentioned by the company but according to industry sources, the model will hit Indian shores by September. The designing of the sedan is somewhat bargained from Nissan Sunny, the strategic alliance partner of Renault.

Also Renault has made sure that its scintillatingly attractive sedan Scala exhibits the class of French automobile manufacturer, widely acknowledged for its premium reflection and superior quality. By keeping all this in mind, Renault’s Design Studio based in Mumbai have made great efforts to ensure that the superiority of Renault brand is maintained and so just a look of the car extends the desire to own it.

The new Renault Scala will come to India in both engine options – diesel and petrol and the model will be placed in a price bracket of Rs. 7 to 10 lakh.

Under the hood, new sedan will come powered with same engine specifications of Nissan Sunny. Moreover, Renault is offering an automatic petrol variant in Scala but on the other hand diesel version of the car will be available only with a manual transmission.
