Peugeot Cars to Hit Indian Shores By 2014

The very popular and leading French automobile manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroen is aggressively executing its plans to carry out the operations in India and planning to soon roll-out its cars from the new Sanand facility plant in 2014. The posh Peugeot is likely to introduce its range of models in the upcoming Auto Expo at New Delhi in January 2012.

The Consul-General of France in India, Mr. Jean Raphael Peytregnet mentioned in his comment that Peugeot’s is a symbolic re entry of French companies into India. The carmaker moved out from the country in 1990s after reversing the association with Premier Automobiles Ltd.

 

Diesel Vehicles Gaining Momentum in the Country with Rising Sales

The continuous hike in petrol prices is forcing the individuals to alter their choices from petrol run cars to diesel engine options. Majority of Indians are no more interested to further rely on petrol fuel after the price is doubled in the last two years.

The petrol price in the country confronted another hike of 1.82 Rs. per liter last week. According to raised bar in petrol prices, in July 2009 fuel price difference in Delhi was Rs 11.76 and now it has increased to Rs. 27.53, which is quite a marginal gap. Skoda Auto India, the fully owned subsidiary of the Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda Auto is all ready to embark its steps on exports path from the country with the launch of its new sedan offering Rapid. Czech based automaker will soon commence to export the cars manufactured in India to overseas car market.

All-new Skoda Rapid is speculated to hit the Indian auto market on 16th of November and is also wished to lead the sedan segment by being the best-selling car in India. Skoda also hopes that the new Rapid will outshine the sales volumes of its very popular compact car Fabia.
