Nissan Motor India Picks 19 Aspiring Student Brand Managers

Nissan Motor India’s third season of the “Nissan Student Brand Manager” (NSBM) Program drew a good response with 2,467 registrations from 590 colleges across 25 Indian cities. The result exhibited the growing popularity of the exclusive initiative especially designed for the aspiring students with an aim to promote Nissan brand in India.

Today, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) declared the names of its 19 young management students who are selected as Nissan Student Brand Managers (NSBM) 2012 from across the nation. This year, the program attained greater result from major centers like Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

The panel board of 2012 Nissan Student Brand Manager Program included big personalities from various knowledgeable fields and they altogether shortlisted the candidates. The students were judged on the base of many aspects such as Uniqueness of the Idea, Relevance to the Automobile Industry, Clarity or Communication of Ideas, Innovative Thinking and Feasibility.

Mr. Nitish Tipnis addressed all the shortlisted candidates and said, “There is much more innovation and creativity in the third season of NSBM. And the huge response achieved clearly showcased that India is full of entrepreneurial talent which thrives on creativity and excellence. This new distinct program will help us tap the potential hidden in Indian students plus also make the brand Nissan attain better attention in the Indian market.”

All the students competing in the Grand Finale will be presented with a book titled as ‘Marketing as Strategy’ by Dr. Nirmalya Kumar. The NSBM initiative offers a platform where students will go through a range of different activities created by them from preparing a test drive at their colleges to creating a buzz about Nissan brand among the group.
