The luxury and elegance at its best is once again showcased by the premium automaker Mercedes Benz in form of its new offering C-Class AMG Performance Edition with the added sports spice package. The carmaker also announced to come up with few more exclusive models with the sport package by this and next year. The new C-Class AMG is priced at Rs. 35.90 lakh, ex-showroom-Hyderabad.
Mercedes Benz needs to quickly fill the gap after losing its second position to Audi in luxury auto market. And the German auto brand is planning a big launch for the country from its range of B-Class but during the festival season this year. The significant launch from Mercedes will be followed by new offerings such as the A-Class and a new E-Class range.
The newly unveiled C-Class 250CDI Avant-garde gracing Hyderabad shores first is claimed to be the most aggressive and energetic vehicle in its class, creditworthy is the vehicle’s handling and driving dynamics.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes Benz India, Peter Honegg said, “The Mercedes C-Class is one of the most prosperous sedans from our portfolio and has received an overwhelming response. In India we have sold over 15,000 units of the C-Class since its launch back in year 2001.”
The sedan is now coming with a sporty edge and has gone through a complete makeover plus it redefines Mercedes’ luxury entry-level sedan segment. Last year in 2011, German giant sold 7,430 units in contrast to 5,819 units in 2010. This year Mercedes aims to heighten its target by 15% to 20%.
