Maruti Kizashi, the much anticipated premium sedan in India, is all set to hit the Indian roads in last week of January this year. The car is expected to receive an applauding response from the Indian buyers of this segment. The new premium sedan from Maruti has threatened the supremacy of many popular cars of this segment including Toyota Corolla Altis, Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Civic, Volkswagen Jetta and Passat.
The company is expecting Kizashi to get a good acceptance from the Indian buyers. Maruti Suzuki’s chairman, Mr. RC Bhargawa, had recently said in a statement given to leading business news daily that “When the Kizashi comes, you will find that it is very well designed, fully loaded car like most of our products. We may certainly not get to the No.1 position, but I think the Kizashi will get good acceptance. We will at least learn a little more about what customers in that segment want and I would be surprised if there isn’t a reasonably good response to the Kizashi.”
The Kizashi sedan will come powered by a 2.4L petrol engine that will be capable of delivering a peak power of 185 bhp along with a top torque of 230 Nm. The car will be imported to the Indian market through CBU (completely built unit) Route.
