The smallest sports utility vehicle from Mahindra and Mahindra’s lot is yet to be uncovered on 20th September as the largest utility vehicle maker gets ready to set a mark in the country all over again. The brand desires to sell atleast 2,000 units a month, according to company’s senior official.
The President of Mahindra, Mr. Pawan Goenka quoted, “We are truly expecting terrific response for SUV Quanto initially but later the number will get steady at around 1,500-2,000 units per month.”
Soon to be unleashed SUV Quanto from Mahindra is crafted on Ingenio’s platform but in length, the SUV stands measures less than four meters, thus qualifying for 12% excise tax. But the vehicle should also comply with a specification of having a maximum 1.2 liter fuel engine capacity or upto 1.5 liter diesel engine. Basically, vehicles with more than the mentioned capacity will attract an excise duty of 24%.
When inquired about further specifications of the new Quanto, Mr. Goenka declined to render any details and remarked that the launch of the vehicle will reveal all the details. Currently Mahindra’s utility vehicle Xylo is developed on Ingenio platform.
The new Quanto is a five seater sport utility vehicle but Mahindra is likely to offer foldable third-row option in the vehicle along with 1.5 liter diesel engine under the hood. But still we need to wait and watch what exactly the refreshing Quanto is all about and what it is offering in its bag.
