Mahindra & Mahindra to launch 10 new car models by March 2012

Mahindra & Mahindra, the leading sports utility vehicle (SUV) maker has recently reported to launch eight to ten new car products in the first quarter of 2012. The company even announced to launch an SUV by the end of this year 2011, this vehicle will going to be all new improved car better than company’s top selling SUV Scorpio.

The President of Mahindra & Mahindra – Pawan Goenka addressed the reporters, “From this year to the end of March 2012, there will be a slew of products launched across passenger and commercial vehicles segments”

Mr. Goenka further added that the company has invested about Rs 600 crore on developing the vehicle platform. Moreover the firm is really excited about the coming SUV, it is designed on a new platform and the utility vehicle will be out somewhere in December 2011.

Indian utility car manufacturer has recently launched Genio, its next generation commercial vehicle, in Chandigarh and the company revealed the secret wish of exporting the car in near future. The model is priced at Rs 5.03 lakh for BS3 Variant (Ex-showroom in Chandigarh). With the launch of this pick up vehicle Mahindra intends to spread the wings with more premium vehicles in the market.

The company will bring new products and variants from the ‘Maxximo’ and ‘Ingenio’ platforms besides other new trucks and tippers, which will be from M&M’s joint venture with Navistar.

During April-January period this fiscal, Mahindra and Mahindra has recorded a fine increase of 26.22% in domestic sales with 2,90,566 units as against 2,30,189 units in the same period last fiscal.
