Jaguar Calls Back 18,000 Cars in UK

Tata Motors owned British auto brand Jaguar to recall around 18,000 cars in Britain because of a slight trouble with cruise control mechanisms.

One of the company’s executive discovered a problem with cruise control system in Jaguar X-type diesel engine models, which were manufactured from year 2006 to 2010.

Following the complaint, company decided to recall the cars and mentioned in its letter to Jaguar X-type owners that in some circumstances when the cruise control system is operating in the car, it may not be possible to switch it off normally.

Many a times the system may not respond in normal manner to what is directed by the owner. Jaguar also remarked that turning off the ignition will cancel all the cruise control function.

And now with the clear situation from the reports, Jaguar is all geared up to call back total 17,678 Jaguar cars in Britain.

According to spokesperson from Jaguar, “This potential problem was spotted by one of our employees. No customer has been affected and there have been no accidents or injuries.”
