The journey from BMW to Ferrari seems to be overwhelming for the people residing in Surat and also for the notable luxurious car owners, who bought the cars from Sachin because batting maestro’s love for the city Surat is clearly exhibited as he sold his premium cars to friends based in the city.
The premium cars that are gracing the routes of Surat are once owned by Tendulkar and not only Ferrari 360 is sold to Surat based businessman friend but his Blue BMW was also bought by city based diamond baron, Nagji Sakariya some two years ago. Sachin’s BMW, which is now owned by Sakariya is a 2003 model and still boasts Maharashtra’s registration number.
Nagji Sakariya expressed, “I wanted to buy a luxury vehicle and bought it from Sachin. I use the car regularly on city roads of Surat.”
Sakariya, owner of HVK International Private Limited is an ardent lover of cricket and enjoys long standing friendship with Tendulkar. He said, “The BMW was as good as new. It was used for just 18,000 km.” Nagji is a Surat based business tycoon who had organized various cricket events including BCCI approved charity match for Indian wicket-keeper Sameer Dighe and off spinner Ashok Patel in Surat at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium. During the same event Sachin stated, “Nagjibhai is my personal friend. How can I say no when he invites me to Surat for a charity match?”
