Hyundai Likely to Launch 2012 Sonata Fluidic By 19th of This Month

On the verge to be far more successful in the Indian auto market, the second largest automobile manufacturer of the country Hyundai Motor India Limited is likely to bring its yet another distinguished product for the industry and its 2012 Sonata Fluidic sedan. The launch date is still not confirmed but the sedan is anticipated to be unveiled on 19th of this month.

The production of the Hyundai Sonata Fluidic is already commenced through CKD assembly at the company’s Chennai manufacturing unit. As of now the South Korean automaker is waiting for the budget’s final call on the price tag of the car. And surely the pricing will further decide the future of Sonata Fluidic and proclaim the fact that will it be able to gather expected sales volume from the market or not.

This is for sure that the CKD units will assist the brand in pricing the car competitively but it can lack that diesel engine option as Hyundai has not introduced the diesel fuel version for the Sonata model across the globe. The new 2012 model will come with the 2.4 GDI engine capable of producing peak power of 200 Bhp and massive torque of 255 Nm along with direct injection and variable valve timing technology.

The engine of the sedan will be available with two transmission options – automatic and manual, both in six-speed versions.

The 2012 Sonata Fluidic will compete with Honda Accord, 2012Toyota Camry, Skoda Superb, Maruti Suzuki Kizashi and Volkswagen Passat.
