GM Offer Rebates on Chevrolet Captiva’s Outgoing Model

The slumpy sales and falling business is pushing automakers to cut down production. And so General Motors India too initiated a wise way to clear up its inventory as quickly as possible by offering an exciting rebate on its outgoing version of Chevrolet Captiva model.

Just few days back, General Motors launched its 2012 facelift edition of Chevrolet Captiva and in order to clear up the piled up stock of older variant, the brand has offered the SUV with new discounts. Also it is very crucial for the carmaker to sell as many models of the outgoing version as possible, so that the next generation model takes over the market.

General Motors is offering attractive discount schemes for the old Captiva in order to make pace for the new facelift version. The rebates are truly whooping from a range of Rs. 2 lakh approximately and so now the SUV Captiva is available at a smashing price of Rs. 17.66 lakh instead of its earlier price tag of Rs. 19.26 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Recently unveiled 2012 revamped Chevy Captiva was supposed to enter into the domestic market during first quarter of 2012 after it was introduced at the Delhi Auto Expo held in January this year. But due to tough economic scenario and accumulation of older version of Captiva, the plan was postponed by General Motors.

According to data revealed by the company, around 140 units of earlier Captiva are kept with the company unsold and majority of the models are LT variant with manual transmission.

The newly launched Chevrolet Captiva offers great space, styling and performance with powerful diesel engine and edgy road cruising, placing itself as the most significant contenders in the premium SUV segment of the country.
