Denso to open new production facility at Haryana

Japanese auto parts maker Denso is eying the soaring growth of the auto sector in India and plans to open a new manufacturing unit at Jhajjar, Haryana.

Denso is present in the country since 1984 and has been fairly successful in gripping the domestic market with specialty in advance auto equipment making. Its list of auto parts specialization include air conditioning systems, engine ECUs, fuel injectors, alternators, starters, etc.

Speaking of global presence, Denso is leading the markets in advance technical products in the field of thermal, electric, powertrain control, safety and electronics & information.

The auto part manufacturing company will be investing a good amount of $52.2 million for the making of Denso Haryana Pvt. Ltd (DNHA) plant at Jhajjar, Haryana. With construction work already started, the plant would be ready by July next year and would provide 400 new jobs for the labor class. The proposed plant in Haryana would be rolling out auto parts like power windows, Windshield wipers and Engine HVAC.

Michio Adachi, Executive Director in charge of the Powertrain Control Systems Business Group, Denso said that India is a vital market for them and in order to meet customer requirements and to further strengthen their bonding, the new plant at Jhajjar, Haryana would act as a booster. Moreover, company would be first supplying constraints to auto companies like Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors which are based in North India, he added.

Inaugurating a new technical center in Gurgoan last month, Denso has moved its tally of technical centers across the world to six. With auto market shooting volumes, companies like Denso have a good chance to prosper with the market.
