The most awaited diesel car is here at last as General Motors unveiled its new diesel hatchback Beat in the capital city of India, New Delhi. The diesel version of beguiling and beauteous Beat is perfectly priced by the Generals as it comes in a price bracket of Rs. 4.29 lakh – Rs. 5.45 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
The proud President and Managing Director of General Motors India, Mr. Karl Slym expressed to reporters, “Offering a diesel engine developed for Indian consumers in our most popular model is a momentous achievement for the company.”
The new diesel Beat is specifically designed and developed by GM’s Technical Centre located in Bangalore in association with GM Powertrain, Europe, keeping the Indian customers’ requirements in mind. The freshly introduced Beat Diesel comes engrafted with a 1.0 litre engine and the company claims that the car is capable of delivering a mileage of 24 kmpl.
On the other hand, even ARAI standards exclaim that the Beat diesel renders mileage of 24 kmpl.
As of now, General Motors was selling the Beat in petrol and LPG options but from today onwards a diesel version of the car is also available to customers and the brand expects that from festive season onwards the demand for the diesel car will catch the heat.
