Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), the most competent automaker of the country is gradually turning successful in the passenger car segment as well after ruling the country with its utility vehicles. So despite severe competition M&M is all ready to soon unveil the small avatar of its popular model Xylo.
Apart from Mini Xylo, Mahindra is all ready to bring in two more models in the country by year end, one is electric car Reva NXR and the other is SUV Ssangyong Rexton.
As per industry reports, all new Mini Xylo is expected to hit Indian shores in the times to come and it is a small version of huge Xylo from Mahindra. The new small SUV in compact form will stand in sub four meter rank coming with a 2.2 liter mHawk turbo diesel engine.
The details about yet to be unveiled Mini Xylo further reports that the model from Mahindra will come equipped with 1.5 liter 3 cylinder version of the mHawk turbo diesel engine. As per seating capacity, the compact Xylo will be a seven seater, while the last rear two seats will be side jump seats.
Price structure of the new entrant is still not confirmed but the 2012 Mini Xylo is likely to sit under the price range of Rs. 5 lakh, offering good competition to other rival models.
Other two expected offerings from Mahindra are Reva NXR and Rexton; one will be the latest electric car for the country while the other is an SUV. Though the former will be a four seater, it is likely to come with extra space and roomy interiors in contrast to the running Reva-i. As per sources the upcoming electric model of Reva will be far bigger than the current model in terms of size.
