Coming August 2012, the country will experience a new MPV launch from leading commercial carmaker Mahindra and Mahindra. It’s the 2012 Mini Xylo MPV that is being aggressively tested by the automaker and will showcase a sub 4 meter length, making good excise tax benefits for the company.

Basically the MPV Mini Xylo will be an exclusive offering from Mahindra in terms of featuring sub 4 meter length and that too with a seating capability of seven adults. But the rear will be bit squeezed up for sure and the last seats will be jump seats. Certainly this new MPV launch will stir the market’s B-segment, offering tough times for the most desirable hatchbacks. The most attractive part is that the Mini Xylo will be placed in a price bracket of Rs. 4 to 5 lakh. The commercial car brand is already known for its breakthrough products and critical market schemes, example the Xylo- a sedan killer and the Cheetah-Inspired SUV XUV500, which is still in huge demand after being unveiled in September 2011.

So definitely the new mini Xylo MPV will make a magnificent mark in the nation with not only its disruptive competitive pricing but also much more in terms of features, specifications and entire product value. The new offering is likely to be powered with 1.5 liter, 3-cylinder turbo diesel engine.

Next big launch from Mahindra is scheduled at the end of this year and it will be a ‘Sub 4 Meter Verito’. Placing the vehicle in sub 4 meter bracket will allow the company to attract tax benefits and also place the car competitively in the market. Still the specifications of the vehicle are not clear and the industry is still predicting whether it will be a hatchback or a notchback from Mahindra’s creative engineering team. The small Verito will have 1.5 liter K9K Renault sourced turbo diesel engine, churning out 65 Bhp of power and 160 Nm of torque.
